Tonight at 6pm on channel 7 Eye Witness News there will be a follow-
up to an Investigative report conducted by Sarah Wallace which
originally aired in Sept 07. The original report contained interviews
with families who agreed to relive and publicly share their
adoption experiences with Orson Mozes and AIP in an attempt to stop
the victimization of future perspective adoptive parents. These
stories are compelling and heart wrenching.
Since the airing of that original report and as you will see tonight,
a criminal investigation has culminated in the issue of an arrest
warrant for Orson Mozes.
Also 14 families have join together and a civil suit has been filed
in order to bring Orson Mozes, his wife Christian Brown and their
adoption agency AIP to court to be held accountable for their illegal
and unethical practices. This litigation will send a loud message to
people and agencies like Orson Mozes, Christian Brown and AIP here in
the USA.
Because International Adoption is an unregulated industry it is my
opinion that as an adoptive parent we have a moral obligation to
share our stories in order to educate others as to what can and does
happen when you contract with an agency such as AIP who's practices
are illegal and unethical here in the USA. This sharing can prove to
be a powerful tool in the regulation of future International
Adoptions.
